Ganga River is also one of them. Ganga River is motherly energy that came from heaven to liberate a human being from their sins and sufferings.
How has the Ganga born?
At the beginning of the world, Lord Brahma asked Mother Nature that he want to start the world from the grace of Nature.
Hearing this Mother Nature transformed herself into 7 seven energies. These energies are – Gayatri, Saraswati, Laxmi, Parvati, Illusionary energy, Austerity energy, and Ganga.
Among all seven energies, the Ganga river is the only energy that exists in all three Lokas; Heaven, Nag-Loka, and Earth. This is why Lord Brahma place Ganga in his Kamandal also.
How Ganga came in Lord Shiva’s hair?
At the time of worshiping the leg of the Lord Vishnu some of the Ganga water split on the Hemkunt mountain that further trapped by Lord Shiva in his hairs and then distributed in three streams.
These three streams flow in three Lokas. Ganga is the savior of the gods present in the heaven, savior of the Nagas present in the Nag Loka, and also the savior of the humans present on the earth.
Origen of Goddess Ganga
Goddess Ganga was born in heaven. Once, Lord Vishnu in the form of a Bhramin visited King Bali palace when King Bali was doing a Yagya. Lord Vishnu asked Bali to give him some donations.
Bali the king of Koshala didn’t want to annoy the Lord Vishnu. So king Bali asked God Vishnu to demand anything that he wishes. Lord Vishnu asked for three steps of land only. King Bali granted the wish.
How Lord Vishnu acquired all the Three Planets?
God Vishnu put his first step on the earth and acquired the whole earth in his first step.
God Vishnu put his second step in the sky and acquired the whole sky. He asked Bali where he should keep his third step. King Bali allows the Vishnu to keep the third step on his head.
God Vishnu put his third step on the head of King Bali resulting in King Bali reached to the Patal Lok which was full of devils.
Goddess River Ganga is the Daughter of Lord Brahma
When God Vishnu put his second step in the sky, Lord Brahma himself came to worship Lord Vishnu.
He washed the leg of the Lord Vishnu and collected all the water in his Kamandal. But some of the water split on the Hemkunt mountain resulting in Lord Shiva has to control the split water of Ganga and he put the Ganga on his hairs.
Goddess Ganga in his physical form as a river flows from heaven to earth. Ganga river is full of medicinal values. She is the holiest, cool, and healing river of the universe.
How Goddess Ganga came to the earth from heaven?
A story of Sagar, King of Koshala
After King Bali, a very popular king named Sagar once decided to increase his kingdom Koshala. There was a tradition to send a horse in order to grow the kingdom.
The horse passed through various states during the process and the state through which the horse passed, automatically came under the king who sends the horse.
In case any person caught the horse, he has to fight with the king in order to take back his kingdom.
Lord Indra caught the Horse
Indra, the lord of heaven feared to see the horse of king Sagar.
Lord Indra feared to think if in case the horse passed through heaven then heaven will be of the king Sagar because Lord Indra was incapable to fight with the Sagar.
Therefore, Lord Indra changed his form, caught the horse, and kept the horse in the premises of Rishi Kapil.
Sons of Sagar cursed and destroyed
King Sagar has 60000 sons from his second wife. Sagar sends his sons to search the horse. They found the horse on the premises of Rishi Kapil.
Rishi Kapil was doing meditation and seeing the sons of king Sagar he annoyed and destroyed all the sons of king Sagar with his spiritual power.
Departed souls of all the sons of King Sagar were not granted peace due to the curse of the Kapil rishi. King Sagar did so much effort to give peace to the departed souls of his sons but could not succeed.
With this event, the story of King Sagar was over.
Bhagirath, king of Koshalas did Austerity to Please Brahma
After a long time in the same dynasty a very renowned and kind king Bhagirath was born.
When he heard about the curse on his ancestor’s souls he planned to do something to give peace to all the departed souls of the ancestors.
King Bhagirath did great austerity to please Lord Bhrama. Lord Brahma came and asked Bhagirath about his wish.
King Bhagirath prayed to Brahma to bring Ganga to come down to the earth to grant peace to the departed souls of his ancestors.
Lord Brahma said that this would be possible only if Lord Mahadeva become ready to control the flow of the Ganga.
Bhagirath did Austerity to Please Lord Shiva
Now, the king again did great austerity to please Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva pleased and became ready to control the flow of the Ganga river.
Ganga felt it an insult and she planned to sweep the Earth away as she fell from Heaven. But Lord Shiva calmly controlled the flow of the Ganga river.
He let her out in small steams. In physical form, the holiest motherly energy Ganga flows from an ice cave on the Gangotri glacier.
In this way with the great efforts of king Bhagirath goddess Ganga came to the earth to purify and liberate the departed souls of king Bhagirath’s ancestors.
Then onwards goddess Ganga is continuously nurturing the earth and its people.
Goddess Ganga River will return back to heaven
According to Devi Bhagwat, once, Goddess Ganga and Goddess Saraswati have some hot discussion.
To resolve the problem goddess Laxmi came in between the goddess Ganga and goddess Saraswati.
Ganga and Saraswati both cursed to the goddess Laxmi to become a river and go to the earth.
Goddess Ganga and goddess Saraswati both cursed to one another to become a river and go to the earth.
Due to the curses, all three goddesses have to become rivers and have to come on the earth.
The time when Ganga River will revert back to Heaven
Once, Rishi Narad asked the Lord Vishnu about the time when all the rivers will come back to heaven from the earth.
Lord Vishnu told Rishi Narad that after completing 5000 years of Kaliyuga all three will come back to heaven.
Now, 5000 years are over. River Padma (goddess Laxmi) and river Saraswati already have disappeared from the earth. Soon the river Ganga also will go back to heaven.

Supreme cosmic energy is a source of various other energies such as fire, water, air, earth, and sky.
All other energies present in the universe are derived from these five energies.
These holy energies are here to support the journey of the living being both on the earth and after the earth.
All these energies are the part of the play of God the same as the human being.
